Team Lead - Full Stack Engineer (m/f/x)

topi is a Berlin-based fintech enabling businesses to access IT hardware through flexible subscription and rental models instead of upfront purchases. Our API-first platform allows retailers, manufacturers, and partners to offer hardware subscriptions seamlessly at the point of sale.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of scalable full-stack applications using Go on the backend and TypeScript (React/Vue/Angular) on the frontend
• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers. Conduct 1-on-1s, code reviews, and foster a culture of engineering excellence
• Partner with Product Managers to break down complex requirements, plan sprints, and ensure on-time delivery of technical milestones
• Contribute directly to the codebase, tackling the most complex technical challenges and setting the standard for code quality
• Make high-level architectural decisions to ensure system reliability, security, and scalability

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3-5 years in a technical leadership or management role
• Deep, hands-on experience building robust microservices and APIs with Go
• Proficiency in TypeScript (nice to have) and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Node.js depending on the stack)
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Proven ability to lead agile teams, resolve technical disputes, and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
