aula is an innovative participation concept that empowers young people to actively engage in shaping their living environment. It shifts their role from being passive observers to active contributors to their own society. Through an online platform and didactic support, aula fosters democratic practices and skills. Young people, starting at around age 12, learn in practical ways how they can make meaningful changes in their environment through commitment and responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of backend services using PHP (Laravel)
- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing systems to enhance performance and reliability
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, and documenting of new features and services
Requirements
- You already have some professional experience as a software developer
- You are familiar with modern, object-oriented PHP 8.3+
- You are confident using SQL databases (we work with MariaDB)
- You have strong understanding of HTTP principles and experience writing RESTful APIs
- You have strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- German and English language skills level B2
- You are a team player with good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
